Elizabeth Wong

Those who like politics, please raise up your hands!

Here is a good blog for you---> from Elizabeth Wong

ELIZABETH WONG (黄洁冰) has been involved in human rights since her student days in Sydney and subsequently during her work in Nepal. She was the secretary-general of the National Human Rights Society (Hakam) (全国人权协会)from 2000-2006 (now sitting as a member of the Ex-Com), a member of the Suaram (大马人民之声) secretariat and was a human rights fellow of Carnegie Council for Ethics and International Affairs (2002-03). She is also a political consultant and has been involved in the setup of the Asean Inter-Parliamentary Myanmar Caucus for Democracy and Solidarity Campaign for Human Rights in Aceh.
She is currently working on an initiative to develop further understanding on democracy and its mechanisms for possible reforms.

Wong enjoys looking at the paradoxes and intricacies of democracy and politics. In her spare time, she researches and writes on the War on Terror and security in the region.
Her interests are in political imagery and symbolism, history, South Asian politics, resistance and Islamism in Southeast Asia, technology and the politics of change.
Wong hopes to crush post-modernism and return such rubbish in its rightful bin. Buffy-style preferred.

She is still leaving the option of playing guitar in a loud band open, singing in Nepali and Arabic, though Nepali folk-dancing is hard and involves moving limbs while twirling round and round. Proceed with care.

This blog is primarily an archival site of writings and photographs, with the occasional notes-to-self to clear out some thoughts.

Education in Malaysia

Education for Malaysian is as important as applying for MyKad. hehe. This blog is written by mostly by Mr. Ong Kian Ming and some by Mr. Tony P.

Mr. Ong Kian Ming is currently doing a PhD in political science at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, USA. He is a Malaysian Chinese and he calls Malaysia home as thus his wife who's here in the US with him. He completed his BSc in Economics at the LSE and his MPhil in Economics at the University of Cambridge in the UK. He hope to return home after he complete his PhD. He is passionate about education!!

This blog is no-nonsense blog. You can say that his post is like an adememic journal articles...hehe...just kidding. Yes, it is really no-nonsense blog, but the posts are fun to read and easy to understand. I, as a local graduate, can easily relate myself to the posts in this blog. You might be asking what is the content in this blog...well....you can get updated unofficial information on education development in Malaysia or education related to Malaysian.
